So, How Does This Work?
Working with an illustrator isn't a common or universal experience, so here's a walkthrough of what to expect!

The Intake
I'll gather all your details and notes, and turn them into a handy project brief that we can both refer to throughout the course of the project.

The First Draft
Timeframe: 1-2 days
This is a simple starting point. Let's first make a design that works in theory also works in practice.
We'll go through a few iterations of this step, so these sketches are intentionally rough and loose in order to work quickly.

First Draft Revisions
Timeframe: depends on client response time and number of rounds
You'll get 3 rounds of revisions on this first draft, in order to make sure everything is where you want it to be.

The Second Draft
Timeframe: 2-3 days
Once we have the layout established, I'll create a stronger draft before embarking on the final version.
The details will start to emerge and the perspective is corrected. This sketch is the guide that the final version will be based on.

Second Draft Revisions
Timeframe: depends on client response time and number of rounds
Edits are rarely needed at this point because we did such a good job catching everything in the earlier rounds. But it's always good to do a quick check!

The Final
Timeframe: 3-7 days
A clean copy of the last draft is carefully redrawn, with strong lines and all the color/shading/details added as needed.
Thanks to all the work we did on the draft iterations, this final copy usually turns out exactly as it should.
